MEET JOSH

Dr. Josh Summers is a husband, father, small business owner, and community leader who is proud to call Spartanburg home. Alongside his wife, Dr. Laura Mills Summers, Josh is proud to be raising a family of four—Elliot, Warren, Ann Palmer, and Mills—plus their dog, Winston—right here in Spartanburg. With their older three at Pine Street Elementary, the Summers family is deeply connected to the life of the city. 

 

Faith and service guide Josh’s life. He serves as a deacon at First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg, is an active member of the Downtown Rotary Club, and supports local arts as a platinum sponsor of the Spartanburg Little Theatre. 

 

Josh is also the owner of Spartanburg Family Dentistry, where for more than 15 years he and his team have cared for patients with excellence and compassion—improving lives one smile at a time. 

 

A graduate of Clemson University and the Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Dental Medicine, Josh completed advanced training at UNC Chapel Hill before moving to Spartanburg in 2009 to open his practice and put down roots. 

 

With strong family ties, a thriving business, and a heart for service, Josh is committed to ensuring Spartanburg continues to grow as a place where families, businesses, and neighborhoods can thrive for generations to come.
